How we run air freight
We move time critical cargo on scheduled passenger and freighter flights, and on charters when the deadline cannot slip. Your planner books the flight, prepares the paperwork and tracks the cargo through every transfer.
What is included
Pickup, export screening, airport handling, flight booking, import customs and final delivery. Next flight out and on board courier options are available for parts that stop a production line.
Handling special cargo
Pharma, cold chain and dangerous goods travel with certified handling, temperature logging and the right documents from the first mile.
When air is the right choice
Air freight costs more per kilo but saves weeks. It pays off for urgent orders, high value goods and products with a short shelf life.
How a shipment moves, step by step
1. Quote and booking
Share the pickup address, the dimensions and weight of every piece and the deadline. We compare direct and connecting flights and confirm the routing, price and arrival time, usually within the hour for urgent requests.
2. Pickup and screening
We collect the cargo, check the labels and documents and deliver it to the airline for security screening, so it is ready to fly on the booked flight.
3. In the air
Your planner follows the shipment through every transfer and tells you straight away if a connection is missed, with the next best option already lined up.
4. Arrival and delivery
Import customs is filed while the cargo is in the air. After landing we collect it from the airline handler and deliver it to your door, often on the same day.
Service levels
Choose economy when you need air speed at a lower price and can allow one or two extra days, standard for most shipments, or express and next flight out when every hour counts. For the most urgent parts, an on board courier carries the goods as personal luggage.
What affects the price
Air freight is charged on chargeable weight, which is the higher of the actual weight and the volume weight. Light but bulky cargo can therefore cost more than you expect. Fuel and security surcharges, handling at both airports and customs fees are listed separately in every quote.
Documents we need from you
A commercial invoice, a packing list with the weight and dimensions per piece and, for special cargo, the safety data sheet, temperature range or export licence. We prepare the air waybill for you.
Common questions
How can I lower the cost of air freight?
Pack efficiently to reduce the volume weight, combine smaller orders into one consolidated shipment and book a few days ahead when you can. Our consolidated services from the main hubs are often a third cheaper than direct express flights.
Do you ship batteries and other restricted goods?
Yes, as long as they are packed, labelled and documented as the IATA rules require. We check the classification with you before the booking so the cargo is not refused at the airport.
